2.4 Content-Delivery-Network Cloudflare
On our website we use the so-called Content Delivery Network (CDN) of the service provider Cloudflare Inc., 101 Townsend St. San Francisco, CA 94107, USA ("Cloudflare"). The use of this Content Delivery Network helps us, among other things, to optimize the loading speed of our website (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). For the use of CDN, it is technically necessary to process your IP address. Cloudflare with seat in the USA is certified "Privacy Shield". You find further information in the data security explanation of Cloudflare under: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy. You can prevent the loading of so-called scripts. NoScript allows the execution of JavaScript, Java and other plug-ins only at trusted domains of your choice. Information and instructions on how to delete or block these scripts can be found at your browser provider (e.g. Mozilla Firefox │ Google Chrome).
2.5 Ajax jQuery
We also use the Javascript library jQuery on our website to increase the loading speed of our website and thus provide you with a better user experience (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). The provider is the so-called CDN (content delivery network) of Google. If your browser does not have a copy stored in the cache or for some other reason downloads the file from the Google CDN, data will be transferred from your browser to Google. For further information about data processing by Google, please refer to the Google data protection information, currently available at: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy.
2.6 Google Fonts
Our website also uses fonts provided by Google for the uniform display of fonts. When you view a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into your browser cache to display text and fonts correctly. For this purpose, the browser you use must connect to Google's servers. This enables Google to know that our website has been accessed via your IP address. The use of Google Web Fonts is in the interest of a uniform and attractive presentation of our online offers (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). Further information on Google Web Fonts can be found at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in the Google data protection declaration: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy.
2.7 Vimeo
We show videos on our website, which are integrated with the help of the provider "Vimeo" (Vimeo Inc., 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011, USA). When the website is accessed, a connection to the Vimeo servers is established. This tells the Vimeo server which of our pages you have visited. Vimeo also obtains your IP address. This also applies if you are not logged in to Vimeo or do not have an account with Vimeo. The use of Vimeo is in the interest of an attractive presentation of our website and the services it offers (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). Further information on the handling of user data can be found in the Vimeo privacy policy at https://vimeo.com/privacy. Vimeo guarantees an adequate level of data protection by adhering to the Privacy Shield requirements (Privacy Shield).

4. Google Maps
On our website, we use the Google Maps service, which enables us to display interactive maps directly on the website, thus enabling convenient use of the map function (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR). When you visit the website, Google receives your IP address and thus also the information that you have called up the corresponding subpage of our website. This is also independent of whether Google provides a user account. If you are logged in at Google, your data will be assigned directly to your account. Google stores your data as user profiles and may use them for advertising and/or market research purposes. In this respect, Google acts as (jointly with us) responsible (Art. 26 GDPR). The personal data collected in this context includes the e-mail address, the name and your message. We store your data at the latest for the duration of a resulting contractual relationship with you. If such a contractual relationship does not exist or does not arise as a result of the inquiry, we will delete your data no later than five (5) months after the last contact with you. The right to object to the processing beforehand or to demand the deletion remains of course unaffected. The provision of personal data is not required by law or contract. However, it is not possible to process the request without the information.
6. Google reCAPTCHA
Within The use of reCAPTCHA serves to differentiate whether an entry is made by a human being or abusively by automated, machine processing. The query in this regard includes the sending of the IP address and any other data required by Google for the re-CAPTCHA service to Google. For this purpose, your input will be transmitted to Google and analyzed. The background of this tool is our interest in the correctness of the data provided, the avoidance of automatic registrations, the inquiries by so-called bots and the economic operation of our online offer (Art. 6 para. 1 f) GDPR). For the Privacy-Shield-Certification, see above. Further information about Google reCAPTCHA and the Google privacy policy can be found in the following links: https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/ and https://www.google.com/recaptcha/intro/android.hbs.
7. Social media
We operate sites on several online platforms and social networks in order to interact with potential or existing customers, to exchange information with interested parties and users or to advertise offers and services. This includes the following providers:
Provider | Details on data protection and objection |
---|---|
Google/ YouTube Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Irland |
https://policies.google.com/privacy https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated Privacy Shield: https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active |
Please note that in the case of interaction via the aforementioned media, data may also be processed outside the territory of the European Union, and the providers certified under the privacy shield have undertaken to comply with EU data protection standards. Furthermore, users' data are generally processed for market research and advertising purposes. For example, user profiles can be created from the user behavior and the resulting interests of the users. The user profiles can in turn be used, for example, to place advertisements inside and outside the platforms that presumably correspond to the interests of the users.
We have no influence on data that is processed by the provider on his own responsibility according to his own terms of use.
8. Newsletter
8.1
If you register for our e-mail newsletter, we will send you regular information on our products related to COERO. For this purpose we only need your e-mail address and your name in order to address you personally. The data will be used exclusively for the purpose of addressing you in advertising by means of the newsletter. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR.
8.2
Newsletters are sent using the provider "MailChimp", a tool from the company Rocket Science Group, LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE #5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA. The privacy policy can be found at https://mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/. The Rocket Science Group LLC d/b/a MailChimp is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement (https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000TO6hAAG&status=Active). MailChimp may, according to its own information, use this data in pseudonymous form, i.e. without attribution to a user, to optimize or improve its own services, e.g. for technical optimization of the sending and presentation of newsletters or for statistical purposes to determine from which countries the recipients come. However, MailChimp does not use the data of our newsletter recipients to write to them itself or pass them on to third parties.
8.3
The newsletters contain a so-called "web-beacon", i.e. a pixel-sized file which is retrieved by the server of MailChimp when the newsletter is opened. In the context of this retrieval, technical information, such as information about the browser and your system, as well as your IP address and time of retrieval are collected. This information is used for technical improvement of the services based on the technical data or the target groups and their reading behavior based on their retrieval locations (which can be determined using the IP address) or the access times. Statistical surveys also include determining whether the newsletters are opened, when they are opened, and which links are clicked. For technical reasons, this information can be assigned to individual newsletter recipients. However, it is neither our ambition nor that of MailChimp to observe individual users. The analysis serves us much more to recognize the reading habits of our users and to adapt our contents to them or to send different contents according to the interests of our users. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. In this respect, we do not see any significant encroachment on the personal rights of our customers, especially since an objection is possible at any time and the analysis always relates to the use of our newsletter. There are cases in which we direct the newsletter recipients to the web pages of MailChimp. E.g. our newsletters contain a link with which the newsletter recipients can retrieve the newsletters online (e.g. in case of display problems in the e-mail program). Furthermore, newsletter recipients can correct their data, e.g. the e-mail address, afterwards. Also, the privacy policy of MailChimp is only available on their website. In this context, we would like to point out that cookies are used on the web pages of MailChimp and therefore personal data is processed by MailChimp, its partners and service providers (e.g. Google Analytics). We have no influence on this data collection. Further information can be found in the privacy policy of MailChimp.
8.4
You can cancel the receipt of our newsletter at any time, i.e. revoke your consent. A link to cancel the newsletter can be found at the end of each newsletter. Alternatively, you can revoke your consent at any time by sending an e-mail to hello@meetcoero.com. If users have only registered for the newsletter and cancelled this registration, their personal data will be deleted.
9. Your rights
You have the right to request confirmation from us at any time as to whether we are processing personal data about you and the right to obtain information about such personal data. In addition, you have the right to correct, delete and restrict data processing, as well as the right to object to the processing of personal data at any time, or to withdraw your consent to data processing at any time, or to request data transmission. All requests for information, requests for disclosure, revocations or objections to data processing should be sent by e-mail to meetcoero.com. Furthermore, you have the right to complain to a supervisory authority in the event of data protection violations.
Notes on the special right of objection
You also have the right to object at any time, for reasons arising from your particular situation, to the processing of personal data concerning you, which is carried out on the basis of Article 6 (1) (e) or (f) of the DPA, in accordance with Article 21 of the DPA. We will stop processing your personal data unless we can prove compelling reasons for processing that are worthy of protection and outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms, or if the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims. If you wish to exercise your right of objection, it is also sufficient to send an e-mail to hello@meetcoero.com.
